December 25, 2010

On Christmas Eve we bundled up in our warm coats and a blanket and got in to my truck and headed to the County Fairgrounds for the lights display.  It was small but cute.  Dad kept remarking how it reminded him of his childhood days and the lights in all the windows.  He remembered his mom always had little electric candles in the windows.  We drove around the neighborhood and looked at lights for awhile as well.  It was a nice short trip.  We stopped by Terri's to say hi to the kids and wish them all a Merry Christmas.
We spent a quite Christmas day at home. I did a turkey and some veggies and of course some pies in the oven.  We opened a few little gifts together which was fun.  It was nice to see them both smiling and enjoying themselves.  It's been such a hard year for all three of us that it was nice to have a low-key Christmas.
Mom Got a Snuggie to Help Her Stay Warm!  It works!
Dad Got Some New Shirts and Some Puzzles
We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday with family.  Make sure to make lots of memories and take a lot of pictures!
